The Opportunity: As a Senior Accountant, you will play a central role in supporting critical functions of our marketplace and company financial operations. You will oversee numerous aspects of the month-end close and financial reporting process, serve as a resource on complex accounting matters, design and implement solutions to new challenges, and ensure the successful completion of business-critical responsibilities. You will work with stakeholders throughout the company to ensure the highest level of service for our buyers, sellers, partners, and vendors. This role is part of a dynamic accounting environment and provides an exciting opportunity to work and collaborate across departments and teams in the company. How your role contributes to the success of Vivid Seats:
- Complete and review critical and complex reconciliations for monthly financial reporting.
- Works directly with department leaders within Vivid Seats and leaders from external parties (auditors, vendors, etc.).
- Oversees projects that require high degrees of planning and coordination with stakeholders across the company.
- Mentors others and drives improvements throughout the department.

- Learn how ticket marketplaces operate and how you’ll contribute to providing great experiences for our customers.
- Gain a strong understanding of the accounting team structure, close cycles and Vivid Seats subsidiaries.
- Develop and lead initiatives for your stakeholders that enhance process, drive innovation, and build on Vivid Seats values.
- Build, maintain, and leverage internal and external relationships to achieve progress and advance objectives.
- Collaborate with accounting team to prepare and review accounting reconciliations.
- Design and implement process improvements that positively impact the team.
- Complete complex accounting reconciliations that rely upon technical accounting knowledge.
- Change and improve processes to increase accuracy and effectiveness.
- Mentor others, playing an active role in elevating the skill sets of those you work with.
- 3 years of accounting experience, including month-end close participation and/or audit work
- Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles; CPA or Masters in Accounting preferred
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and experience with large amounts of data and advanced functions
- Intrinsic desire to complete challenging tasks and take on new responsibilities
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
