Overview:
We are seeking a Network Security Engineer to join a large-scale enterprise environment, responsible for designing, implementing, and securing complex network infrastructures across on-prem and cloud environments. This role is hands-on and will work closely with network, cloud, and security teams to ensure availability, resilience, and security of critical business systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain secure enterprise network architectures across data center, cloud, and WAN environments
- Deploy and manage network security controls, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network segmentation
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to network security events and incidents
- Partner with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to embed security into network design
- Support vulnerability remediation, firewall rule reviews, and security hardening initiatives
- Assist with security assessments, audits, and compliance requirements
- Develop and maintain network security documentation, standards, and runbooks
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical network or security events (as required)
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in network engineering or network security roles
- Strong hands-on experience with enterprise firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, Check Point)
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs, and network segmentation
- Experience securing hybrid environments (on-prem cloud)
- Familiarity with security monitoring, incident response, and troubleshooting
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred / Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with cloud networking and security (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Knowledge of Zero Trust or SASE architectures
- Exposure to automation or scripting (Python, Terraform, Ansible)
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, PCNSE, or equivalent
- Experience working in large, regulated enterprise environments
