Bindery Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Bindery Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have a background in bindery operations and be proficient in operating machinery to produce high-quality print products. This role requires attention to detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with 30 minute lunch

Duties:

• Operate a variety of bindery machines, including folders, cutters, and presses to produce finished products.
• Load and unload materials, such as paper, fabric, and plastic, onto bindery machines.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on bindery equipment.
• Read and work orders to ensure accurate production of printed materials.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely and high-quality production of print materials.

Qualifications/Skills:

• 2 years of experience in bindery operations or a related field preferred
• Proficiency in operating, stack cutters, collaters, creasers and other bindery manufacturing equipment.
• This position requires the ability to work overtime as needed.
• Physical ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and quality.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
