Job Description:
The Vice President of Construction is a senior executive role responsible for providing
strategic leadership and oversight for all of Vivid Group’s construction operations.
This individual will be instrumental in shaping the company’s future by ensuring that
all projects are executed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards
of quality. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the construction
industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage complex
projects and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
● Strategic Leadership: Provide executive oversight for all construction
activities, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
● Operational Management: Direct and manage the entire lifecycle of
construction projects, from pre-construction to final closeout.
● Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of
project managers, superintendents, project coordinators, estimators, and
other construction professionals.
Qualifications & Skills
● Education: A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil
Engineering, or a related field is required. An MBA or other advanced degree is
highly desirable.
● Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry,
with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., Director of Construction,
Senior Project Executive).
● Leadership: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage large, diverse teams. A
track record of developing talent and building a positive work culture.
● Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to think strategically, anticipate
future trends, and develop and execute successful business plans.
● Financial Acumen: Strong financial management skills, including budgeting,
forecasting, and cost control. A deep understanding of project financials and
profitability drivers.
● Technical Expertise: An in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the construction
process, including pre-construction, project management, and closeout.
Familiarity with modern construction technologies and software.
● Communication: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal
skills. The ability to effectively engage with all stakeholders, from clients to
craft labor.
