Trendy boutique lifestyle hotel is seeking a new team member to be part of the best of the best Guest Service Team
Applicants with hotel Front Desk experience and with StaynTouch experience highly preferred. Position is typically 2 shifts overnight (Fri/Sat) and 3 day/evening shifts but will vary based on hotel needs. Compensation and scheduling will be discussed during the interview.
Member must be mature, reliable, be passionate about exceptional care for our guests, have a high positive energy and be organized and have good attention to detail.
Job Summary:
Guest Services Agents are to ensure all guests are welcomed with a smile and tended to. They provide guests with their needs in a professional and courteous manner at all times while performing other daily operations. They are a representation of the hotel and should promote the growth of the company. You are responsible for ensuring we provide the highest level of guest service and that our standards are met and maintained at all times. With a combination of a passion for the job and the right communication with other departments, you have the ability and empowerment to make the guest's experience more than memorable.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Engage each guest as a unique individual and listen attentively to their requests
-Perform accurate check-ins and check-outs of guests daily
-Assisting and monitoring the front desk at all times
-Answering phones in a timely manner which include stay inquiries, guest requests, concerns, etc.
-Inputting reservations with a high emphasis to details and accuracy
-Responding to emails which include date inquiries, general info, requests, etc.
-Handling guest complaints/concerns and finding resolution
-Cash handling and credit card payment processing
-Practice safe working habits, including bending and lifting appropriately to avoid injury
-Listen to guest's complaints or concerns and resolve their issue in a timely manner
-Writing logs, spreadsheets, and faxing
Night Audit Responsibilities (in addition to above):
- Printing registration forms and newsletter for arrivals
- Prepare notecards for future arrival amenities
- Verifying accurate information on guest folios
- Balancing each employees shift work
- Batching and closing all daily transactions and date roll
- Accurately filling Cash, Daily Deposit and Reconciliation logs including but not limited to:
- Reconciliation of City Ledger account
- Reconciliation of Guest Ledger accounts
- Reconciliation of daily cash and deposits log
- Auto-posting and manually posting charges
- Verifying accurate due out guest folios for errors
- Generating daily reports and exporting to management
- Export financial reports to Acct.
Abilities/Skills:
-Excellent oral and written English communication skills
-Ability to read and understand effectively in the English language
-Warm and friendly personality. Welcoming and personable
-Able to work with minimal supervision. He/she should be able to analyze situations and make quick appropriate decision using common sense without the assistance of others
-Excellent multitasking and organization skills even under pressure in a fast paced environment
-Fully proficient in using basic computer functions
-Must have an open flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. 24 hour business
-Professional verbiage at all times
-Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, decimals, and percentages
-Additional languages are an asset
Computer Programs:
-Individual must be efficient in using Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to Excel, Word, Outlook.
-Knowledge and use of StaynTouch and Saflok
-10 key by touch-A minimum of 50 WPM
Job Demands:
-Individual must be able to stand for long periods of time. Standing time is typically 8 hours
-May need to occasionally lift items weighing up to 30 pounds
