We are seeking a proactive and skilled DevOps Engineer to drive automation, scalability, and security across our cloud-based architecture. You will help design, implement, and maintain modern infrastructure using industry-leading tools and practices, with a strong emphasis on microservices (e.g., AWS Lambda, Docker) and RESTful API security. You will also assist with maintenance of EC2 based applications and help with their migration to microservices. This role serves as a vital bridge between development and operations, enabling fast, secure, and reliable delivery of applications and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable delivery of microservices
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Build, deploy, and monitor serverless applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway and supporting services
- Manage and secure microservices running in Docker, Kubernetes, or container orchestration platforms
- Maintain and secure applications running on EC2 and assist with their migration to scalable microservices
- Implement API security best practices including authentication (OAuth2, API keys, JWT), rate limiting, and WAF integration
- Monitor application performance and availability using tools like CloudWatch
- Maintain centralized logging and alerting systems
- Collaborate with engineering teams to align infrastructure with application needs and security requirements
- Support incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement of deployment processes
Required Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, especially Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, S3, IAM, EKS, ECS, and CloudFormation
- Expertise in server administration of Windows/Ubuntu systems and system-level security
- Proven expertise in building infrastructure to support high-performance, highly available and highly resilient systems
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar
- Solid understanding of API design and security, including token-based authentication and secure endpoint practices
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, ECS)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python)
- Strong Git knowledge and experience with version control workflows
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS certification (e.g., DevOps Engineer – Professional, Solutions Architect)
- Experience implementing Zero Trust security models
- Familiarity with Secrets Managers and managing encrypted credentials across environments
- Experience with event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing patterns
- Prior work with API gateways, service mesh (e.g., Istio), and observability stacks
This is a hybrid position based at our Arden Hills location. Our offices are centrally located with nearby access to I-694, Snelling Ave, and I-35W. This facility includes natural light, high-efficiency filters and UV Sterilization to reduce pathogens in the air to keep employees safe.
