Purpose of the Role
The Senior GL Accountant will be a key member of Vivalink’s Finance team, responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and supporting the month-end and year-end close process. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, self-directed, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment where processes are still being refined and improved.
Core ResponsibilitiesGeneral Ledger & Month-End Close
- Own and execute the full monthly close process including journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses, and account reconciliations
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger across all accounts
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Accounts & Transactions
- Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations across Vivalink’s global entities
- Oversee fixed asset accounting including additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
- Review and process employee expense reports in compliance with company policy
Reporting & Analysis
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and variance analyses for management review
- Provide supporting schedules and documentation for external audits and tax filings
- Identify and communicate discrepancies or unusual trends to the Finance Manager
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting workflows and close processes
- Document accounting policies and procedures to support scalability and compliance
- Support ERP system improvements and implementations as the company grows
Collaboration
- Work cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, and HR to ensure accurate financial data capture
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc analysis as requested by Finance leadership
Required QualificationsMust Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience with a strong focus on general ledger
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills — pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling
- Proven ability to manage month-end close independently and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a lean, fast-paced environment with evolving processes
Nice to Have
- CPA license or active CPA candidate
- Experience in a startup, SaaS, or digital health company
- Familiarity with multi-entity or international accounting
- Experience with NetSuite specifically

Base salary: $80,000 – $100,000, commensurate with experience.
