Purpose of the Role

The Senior GL Accountant will be a key member of Vivalink’s Finance team, responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and supporting the month-end and year-end close process. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, self-directed, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment where processes are still being refined and improved.

Core ResponsibilitiesGeneral Ledger & Month-End Close

• Own and execute the full monthly close process including journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses, and account reconciliations
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger across all accounts
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP

Accounts & Transactions

• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations across Vivalink’s global entities
• Oversee fixed asset accounting including additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
• Review and process employee expense reports in compliance with company policy

Reporting & Analysis

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and variance analyses for management review
• Provide supporting schedules and documentation for external audits and tax filings
• Identify and communicate discrepancies or unusual trends to the Finance Manager

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting workflows and close processes
• Document accounting policies and procedures to support scalability and compliance
• Support ERP system improvements and implementations as the company grows

Collaboration

• Work cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, and HR to ensure accurate financial data capture
• Assist with special projects and ad hoc analysis as requested by Finance leadership

Required QualificationsMust Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience with a strong focus on general ledger
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
• Advanced Excel skills — pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling
• Proven ability to manage month-end close independently and meet deadlines
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in a lean, fast-paced environment with evolving processes

Nice to Have

• CPA license or active CPA candidate
• Experience in a startup, SaaS, or digital health company
• Familiarity with multi-entity or international accounting
• Experience with NetSuite specifically

Compensation & Details

Base salary: $80,000 – $100,000, commensurate with experience.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
