The Information Technology Specialist is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing the company’s IT systems, infrastructure, and end-user technology environment. This role ensures reliable performance of networks, systems, applications, and devices while also supporting cybersecurity best practices, troubleshooting technical issues, and improving overall IT efficiency across the organization.
Essential Functions
- Provide day-to-day IT support for hardware, software, network, and user access issues across the organization.
- Support implementation and enforcement of IT security policies, protocols, and best practices.
- Monitor system and network performance, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
- Assist in administering security tools such as firewalls, antivirus, endpoint protection, and intrusion detection systems.
- Perform system updates, patch management, and routine maintenance to ensure system integrity.
- Support incident response activities for system outages, security events, and technical disruptions.
- Maintain IT documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and support logs.
- Collaborate with leadership and other departments to improve IT systems and processes.
- Assist the Technology Solutions Department with IT operations, projects, and initiatives.
- Collaborate with 3rd party service providers to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science,or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, Chrome OS Administrator, or similar preferred.
- Experience supporting enterprise IT environments and end-user systems.
- Experience with IT service management and ticketing systems is a plus.
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to bend,sit, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Less than 10% travel
