Vivacity Tech is looking for a Director of Global Sourcing who will be responsible for building and managing a resilient network of global manufacturing partners while optimizing international shipping and fulfillment operations. This individual will directly influence product availability, margin performance, logistical efficiency, and long-term operational scalability by sourcing factories, negotiating supplier agreements, strengthening vendor relations and designing cost-effective international logistics strategies.
This is a hands-on, execution focused role where you’ll take full ownership of our global sourcing and logistics process, actively driving the work from strategy through implementation. This role requires frequent international travel, hands-on factory assessments, and the ability to drive results in both strategic sourcing and tactical execution.

- Identify, evaluate, and onboard best-fit manufacturing partners across Asia, Latin America, and other global regions
- Lead onsite factory visits to assess quality, compliance, production capacity, and alignment with Vivacity standards
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and service-level agreements (SLAs) with factories and component suppliers
- Design and implement end-to-end shipping strategies for ocean, air, and intermodal transport
- Select and manage freight forwarders, 3PLs, and customs brokers.
- Reduce landed costs and improve delivery timelines through efficient routing, port selection, and volume leverage
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with import/export regulations, including Incoterms, HS codes, and country-of-origin requirements.
- Partner with Product, Sales, and Finance teams to align sourcing decisions with demand forecasts and margin targets
- Provide factory lead times, capacity updates, and shipping ETAs to internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with IT and Data teams to integrate supplier and logistics metrics into internal reporting platforms
- Drive supplier diversification and contingency planning to mitigate geopolitical and operational risks
- Recommend long-term shifts such as nearshoring, in-region sourcing, or alternate transport models
- Analyze trends in raw material pricing, freight markets, and regulatory changes to inform sourcing strategy
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills, particularly in international contexts
- Deep understanding of global sourcing, supplier vetting, and compliance requirements
- Knowledge of international logistics operations, including ocean, air and intermodal shipping
- Culturally competent and able to build effective relationships with international partners
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Extremely proficient with Google Suite or similar software with the ability to learn new or updated software
- Ability to work independently
- 8-10 years in global sourcing and/or supply chain management
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Operations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 3 years in a leadership or strategic decision-making role
- Proven experience negotiating international supplier contracts and managing freight/logistics operations
- Experience conducting onsite audits and assessments across global regions (e.g., Asian, Latin America), preferred
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to bend, sit, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent international travel required; minimum 25% of time spent abroad for onsite factory visits and partner engagement
