What are the responsibilities and job description for the Calibration Technician position at viva?
Calibration Technician II will calibrate and repair a variety of test and measurement equipment. The Calibration Technician will work with other technicians on the team or work on projects by themselves. Candidates should be self-starters, willing to learn, have attention to detail, and possess good interpersonal skills. Good verbal and written communication skills and computer skills are a must.
Responsibilities:
Calibration and repair of electronic and mechanical measuring and test equipment
AC/DC Low Voltage (multimeters, power meters, voltage calibrators etc.)
RF/MW Frequency Measuring and Generating Devices (spectrum analyzers, frequency generators, RF counters)
Temperature & Humidity devices (Thermometers, data loggers, environmental chambers, ovens)
Generating T&M equipment (Insulation and Dielectric testers, controllers)
Mechanical T&M equipment: (Torque Wrenches, Calipers, scales, pressure gages and controllers)
Follow calibration procedures and methods.
Requirements:
Previous experience calibration and repair of test and measurement equipment is required.
Knowledge and experience with ISO 17025 Quality Management Systems.
Knowledge and experience calculating Measurement Uncertainty.
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and follow written procedures.
Ability to follow written calibration and/or repair procedures.
Knowledge of AC/DC circuitry is required.
Associate degree in electronics or equivalent required.
Commercial or Military PMEL or TMDE experience preferred.
Ability to lift and move 33 lbs. unassisted.
Mechanical or electrical experience preferred, knowledgeable with Excel
