Job Summary:
As a Designer at VIVA, you’ll be part of the team that turns big design ideas into shop-ready drawings. You’ll use AutoCAD to create approval sets, fabrication packages, and installation drawings for our custom railing systems. You’ll be working with Project Managers, Engineers, and other team members—clear communication and ownership of your work are key.
Key Responsibilities
Drafting & Design
- Create clean, accurate approval, fabrication, and install drawings
- Work from architectural and structural plans to develop practical details
- Keep drawing files organized and up to date in the system
- Revise drawings based on feedback from project teams or customers
Project Support
- Help clarify design details with our PMs and shop team
- Coordinate changes based on field conditions or markups
- Track revisions and make sure your work stays aligned with project schedules
Collaboration
- Join regular team check-ins to stay aligned on priorities
- Communicate clearly with team members across time zones
- Support product development or R&D projects when needed

What You Need to Have
Must-Have:
- At least 5 years of detailing experience in metal, architectural, or structural projects
- Strong AutoCAD skills (2D required, 3D is a plus)
- Ability to read and work from redlines, drawings, and specs
- Solid attention to detail and the ability to manage your own workload
- Experience working remotely or with distributed teams
Nice to Have:
- Advance Steel experience
- Familiarity with railing systems or fabrication workflows
- Exposure to U.S. construction standards or design practices
