Work Location:
This role is primarily remote, with regular on-site requirements for local WCAB primarily in Oakland, though on occasion in the greater Bay Area, as well as client/team meetings at our Oakland or Concord office.

Core Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of one of our experienced attorneys, you will:
- Manage and advocate a full caseload from intake through resolution
- Represent clients at WCAB hearings, conferences, and depositions
- Maintain exceptional communication with clients and internal teams
- Collaborate with your case management team to deliver top-tier service
- Participate in firm and community engagement initiatives
Note: The above list is not exhaustive and other duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 3 years of hands-on experience in California workers’ compensation law (applicant or defense), including case handling, client communication, and hearings
- Supervision: Must be able to work effectively under the guidance of a supervising attorney
- Transportation: Valid California driver’s license and willingness to travel locally (some overnight travel may be required)
Additional Information:
This role involves extensive interaction with the public and requires adherence to a professional dress code and demeanor. Client interactions are primarily conducted via phone and video meetings, though in-person client meetings are offered.
