We believe that to be relevant, a brand must not only show up consistently but lead the conversation with craft, speed, and strategic intent.
We are looking for a Social Media Director / Head of Social to lead our agency’s social vision. This is a high-impact role for a self-starter who can bridge the gap between high-level brand strategy and breakthrough creative execution. You won’t just be managing channels; you will be evolving our brands for the modern social landscape while growing Vitro’s social capabilities and revenue.
The Role
Strategic Leadership
- Define the Ecosystem: Determine the role of social within broader brand and campaign ecosystems, ensuring social thinking is integrated from the start, not tacked on at the end.
- Develop Core Strategies: Build robust social strategies (tone of voice, POV, channel strategy, and content pillars) that align with business objectives and communication plans.
- Thought Leadership: Act as the agency’s subject matter expert on the evolving social landscape, new platforms, and emerging trends.
Creative Direction & Production
- Own the Output: High-level oversight of the social production process, ensuring all creative is breakthrough, on-brand, and optimized for platform-native consumption (TikTok, Reels, etc.).
- Briefing & Ideation: Translate strategy into sharp, focused briefs. Work closely with creatives to provide actionable feedback and participate in the ideation process.
- Craft & Quality: Maintain a high bar for voice, tone, and visual craft across all channels, ensuring content can come to life within budgets and timeframes.
Performance & Client Leadership
- Drive Growth: Be the "face" of Vitro’s social capabilities, building strong client relationships and identifying opportunities to grow social business with current and prospective partners.
- Insight-Led Optimization: Oversee social listening and performance reporting. Move beyond "data dumps" to deliver insightful analysis that informs future creative and strategic pivots.
Team Management
- Lead & Mentor: Manage and develop a team of social media managers and community managers, fostering a culture of accountability and high standards.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee workflows across briefs, content calendars, and final delivery to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10 years in social or integrated roles, with significant experience in an agency environment.
- Strategic & Creative Hybrid: A proven ability to lead both the "thinking" (strategy) and the "doing" (creative direction/production).
- Platform Mastery: Hands-on, intimate knowledge of all major platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.) and a deep understanding of platform-native content.
- Presentation Skills: Ability to build high-quality decks and present confidently to C-suite clients.
- The "Juggler" Mentality: Native ability to manage multiple accounts and fast-moving projects without losing sight of the details.
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
