We are looking for a Engineering Manager to provides leadership and technical expertise to support production operations through effective deployment of project engineering resources. This role focuses on reducing downtime, improving quality, achieving 100% delivery rating, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Engineering Manager works closely with Maintenance, production supervisors, and quality teams, to ensure operational excellence and successful execution of capital projects. The position includes managing a multidisciplinary engineering team with expertise in electrical, mechanical, controls engineering, and technical support to deliver results across all plant operations.
Lead and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team, ensuring alignment with plant goals and fostering collaboration across electrical, mechanical, controls engineering, and technical support functions.
Provide support to Production Operations through effective deployment of Project Engineering resources to lower downtime, improve quality, and achieve yields/shipments. Identify areas within the manufacturing process and maintenance that are not performing up to standard and implement data-driven solutions to improve performance. Identify areas for improvement to enhance competitiveness; design, purchase, and implement cost-saving facilities. Assist Production, Maintenance and Quality in identifying defects and implementing countermeasures such as Poke Yokes and DOE tools. Work closely with Quality, Process and Maintenance on root cause analysis and follow the customer 8D process, including direct customer interaction and occasional travel. Coordinate weekly with Maintenance on work required to maintain high OEE levels. Collaborate with HR to recruit exceptional engineering talent and foster teamwork. Mentor and teach engineers, providing support to achieve goals and objectives. Take responsibility for capital projects ranging from $50K to $5M, from concept to implementation, including funding approval, quoting, design, building, and tracking using Microsoft Project. Delegate projects to Project Engineers and manage outcomes. Ensure safety practices are followed and validated during design and implementation of new equipment or processes.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (ME, CE, EE, ChE) or equivalent field, required.7 years in a management role leading engineering teams
