Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our travel nursing team for night shifts, providing exceptional patient care across diverse healthcare settings. This position offers an immediate spot opportunity for qualified candidates to work 12-hour night shifts, delivering vital nursing services in hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, and more. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of clinical skills, including experience with critical care, medical documentation, and specialized patient populations such as geriatric, pediatric, or trauma patients. Candidates must be adaptable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering compassionate care in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and health history documentation using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth.
• Administer medications and injections accurately following physician orders and safety protocols.
• Manage IV infusions, catheterizations, and ventilator support as required by patient needs.
• Provide specialized care for diverse populations including dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice patients, pediatric and neonatal patients.
• Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as spinal taps or laboratory specimen collection/processing.
• Monitor patients’ physiological status and respond promptly to acute changes in condition; manage airway and perform basic life support when necessary.
• Document all patient interactions thoroughly in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical records standards.
• Participate in discharge planning and case management activities to optimize patient outcomes across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Maintain infection control standards and aseptic techniques during all procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid LPN license with current state licensure required.
• Proven experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding is preferred.
• Experience working with specialized populations such as geriatrics (dementia/Alzheimer’s/memory care), pediatrics (neonatal/childcare), or hospice/palliative care preferred.
• Knowledge of advanced nursing procedures including IV insertion/infusion, catheterization, tube feeding, ventilator management, and medication administration.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, diagnostic evaluation techniques, and infection control practices.
• Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality care.
