What You'll Do
- Design & Develop: Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of APIs and API proxies using Apigee Edge and Apigee X.
- Architect & Strategize: Work with cross-functional teams to define and implement a forward-thinking API strategy and architecture.
- Secure & Govern: Implement advanced API security policies, such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, and mTLS, to ensure secure and compliant API governance.
- Optimize & Monitor: Perform regular health checks, optimize API performance, and troubleshoot production issues to maintain high availability and reliability.
- Collaborate: Partner closely with other architects, developers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into efficient and scalable API solutions.
- Innovate: Drive continuous improvement of API design, practices, and CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment and management across environments.
- Mentor: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and technical excellence.
What You'll Bring
- A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in API management and integration.
- Proven, in-depth expertise with Apigee Edge and Apigee X.
- Strong proficiency in REST, SOAP, OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API security best practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and a solid understanding of major cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
- Expertise in API performance optimization, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong aptitude for analytical thinking.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
