Vitor's Bistro is a family owned and operated upscale Bistro located in the heart of Bright, Indiana, just 10 minutes from Harrison, OH, 15 minutes from downtown Lawrenceburg, and a beautiful 30 minute drive from downtown Cincinnati. We have a new concept Bistro opening in downtown Aurora, IN.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Line Cook, you will play an essential role in meal preparation, ensuring that all food is prepared according to our standards of quality and safety. This position requires attention to detail, strong culinary skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other kitchen staff.
*Responsibilities*
-Arrive to work in a timely fashion.
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and best practices.
Assist in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other cooking tools.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when reordering is necessary.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food handling and preparation.
*Requirements*
Proven experience in food service or culinary roles within the food industry.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Proficient in meal preparation techniques, including knife skills.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and teamwork mentality.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
A passion for cooking and creativity in menu planning is highly desirable.
