Position Summary
The Logistics Supervisor oversees daily operations to ensure efficient order fulfillment, supplier coordination, and product quality management. This role manages purchasing, inventory, logistics, and production activities to support Vitex's sales and customer service goals. The Logistics Supervisor works closely with the Product, Sales, and Finance teams to maintain operational excellence and scalable growth.
The Logistics Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professionals skilled in highly transactional or repetitive processes to control, deliver, and distribute products and materials to client locations. The Logistics Supervisor will create the strategy, metrics, and processes to optimize operations.
On a daily basis, this position will:
- Oversee daily operations for inventory, distribution, transportation, or other processes that support the achievement of corporate goals and KPIs for product delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor the logistics team and vendors' adherence to service level targets.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations governing transportation of goods.
- Utilize online systems to input and report workflow status and to identify problems.
- Depending upon team workload, the Supervisor will also perform various functions within the logistics operation.
Requisite Skills
- 3 to 5 years' experience as a staff member in a logistics group handling electronic components.
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a supervisor or manager of a logistics group, preferably in the electronic component arena.
- Experience with international material sourcing.
- Proficient in business software (Word, Excel, NetSuite, SAP, or QuickBooks Enterprise, etc.).
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Hands-on and detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset.
- Familiarity with fiber optic products (transceivers, cables, components) is a strong plus.
- BA in business or business management is a plus.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
