Summary
As a Phlebotomist, you will be essential in delivering high-quality patient care through efficient specimen collection and processing. Reporting to the laboratory manager, your role involves performing venipuncture and blood sampling while ensuring patient comfort and safety. You will utilize your core skills in medical terminology and vital signs monitoring, alongside premium laboratory techniques, to support clinical operations. Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and blood sampling to collect specimens from patients while ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Process and label specimens accurately for laboratory analysis.
- Monitor and record vital signs as part of patient care.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to hospital protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members regarding procedures and results.
- Stay updated on medical terminology and laboratory techniques to enhance service quality.
- Ensure compliance with BLS certification requirements during patient interactions.
