What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant - Millennium Park & Bourbonnais position at VitalSkin Dermatology?
As a Medical Assistant, you are a part of a collaborative team scribing for and supporting dermatology providers at our downtown practice locations. You are ensuring that all patients receive high quality, efficient, and comprehensive care, while demonstrating consistent adherence to the practices standards and procedures. You are an integral part of helping to communicate with and educate patients, as well as assisting providers during medical and cosmetic procedures.
This is an on-site position at both Pinski Dermatology Sites - Millennium Park location (150 S Michigan Ave) AND Bourbonnais (374 Larry Power Road). Starting compensation range is $19 an hour depending on experience.
REQUIREMENT: MUST be able to travel to BOTH locations (Chicago & Bourbonnais)
Preferred: EMR experience in Ema ModMed
You are detailed-oriented, proactive, initiative-taking individual with a passion for healthcare. A plus - previous scribing and clinical experience. Along with basic typing, computer, English, and mathematical skills, you also have an appropriate sense of discretion in dealing with varied and difficult situations; ensure compliance with all HIPPPA regulations; and able to communicate effectively with providers, patients, co-workers, and vendors. In addition, you have the ability to work as a team member; manage multiple tasks simultaneously and excel under pressure; be empathetic with patients needs and concerns; be attentive to detail; and be able to convey a positive, professional attitude in all your interactions with others.
Tentative work schedule: Clinic hours are generally 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with slight variations depending on the day of the week. 50% of your schedule would be at Millennium Park & 50% at Bourbonnais. Medical Assistants are scheduled to rotate one Saturday per month at Millennium Park, working a half-day from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The required clinical dress code is black scrubs.
