Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Animal Care Technician, located in Houston, TX. The Animal Care Technician will be responsible for providing daily care to animals, maintaining clean and safe environments, monitoring animal health, and assisting with routine procedures. Additional tasks include administering medications as directed, supporting veterinarians and other staff during examinations or treatments, and ensuring the well-being of animals by adhering to strict safety and health protocols.
Qualifications
- Skills in Animal Care, Pet Care, and a passion for working with animals
- Knowledge of Animal Health and Animal Work, including monitoring and supporting general wellness
- Basic Laboratory Skills relevant to an animal care environment
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with other staff members
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in veterinary assistance or animal care are advantageous
