Job Overview
Vitalix Clinical is seeking a passionate and dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our growing clinical research team as a Clinical Rater supporting behavioral health clinical trials.
In this role, you will work closely with study participants during research visits, including behavioral health assessments, and protocol-specific therapeutic support. Trial indications may vary, but will primarily focus on CNS and behavioral health populations. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct protocol-specific behavioral health assessments, questionnaires, and rating scales as required by study design
- Assist in identifying changes in mood, behavior, or adverse psychological responses during study participation
- Maintain accurate and timely source documentation within study systems and electronic records
- Collaborate closely with Principal Investigators, CRCs, raters, and research staff to ensure protocol compliance and participant safety
- Support participant engagement and retention throughout study visits
- Maintain HIPAA compliance, confidentiality, and GCP-aligned patient care standards
- Participate in study-specific training and research-related operational meetings
Qualifications
- Masters in mental health counseling, psychology, or similar
- Experience in behavioral health, psychotherapy, counseling, crisis intervention, or psychiatric support
- Strong comfort working directly with patients in high-touch behavioral health environments
- Ability to maintain a calm, supportive, and professional presence during extended dosing sessions
- Experience with mental health assessments, behavioral observations, or clinical rating tools is strongly preferred
- Clinical research experience is preferred but not required
- Experience with CNS, mood disorders, trauma/PTSD, anxiety, depression, or related psychiatric populations strongly preferred
- Strong documentation, communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
Preferred Experience
- Behavioral health clinic or psychiatric setting experience
- Research experience within CNS, psychiatry, or behavioral health studies is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with participant safety monitoring and therapeutic support models
