What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Vitality Health and Wellness?
Independent Primary Care Office searching for a Certified Medical Assistant.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Performing Urine Drug Screens and breath alcohol testing
- Assisting with radiology prior authorizations
- Obtaining vital signs
- Verifying patient medications
- Giving injections
- Scheduling referral appointments
- Assisting with answering the phone/accurately communicating between patient and provider
- Communicating lab results with patients
Qualifications:
- Candidate must have excellent communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Must be willing to work in a team environment and contribute to building a positive team spirit.
- Must be highly organized to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Exhibit pleasant and professional in-person and telephone etiquette at all times.
- Good documentation skills.
Hours: M-F 8-5 PM
Paid Holidays
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
