We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Physical Therapist to join our team as an Independent Contractor. Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions by reviewing medical histories, conducting physical examinations, and understanding physiology and anatomy to develop personalized care plans.
- Implement evidence-based physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and home & community care strategies to promote recovery.
- Manage discharge planning processes by coordinating with medical teams and ensuring smooth transitions from hospital to home or community settings.
- Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems accurately to document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, rehabilitation exercises, and health maintenance strategies tailored to individual needs.
- Stay current with medical terminology updates, physiotherapy advancements, and best practices in acute care and outpatient therapy.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a licensed Physical Therapist with current registration in good standing.
- Proven experience in inpatient hospital settings, outpatient clinics, or home health environments with a focus on patient care.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and specialized areas such as orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and trigger point therapy.
- Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive care plans that include discharge planning and acute care interventions.
- Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and patient management.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and educate patients thoroughly.
