Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Elderly Caregiver role based in Riverton, UT but will be at the clients house within the Salt Lake Valley. The Elderly Caregiver will assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support. The role includes preparing meals, assisting with feeding when needed, and ensuring proper hydration and nutrition. The caregiver will provide companionship, engage clients in safe activities, monitor changes in physical or emotional health, and promptly report concerns to supervisors or family members. Responsibilities also include light housekeeping, medications reminders as directed, following care plans, documenting provided care, and adhering to safety and infection-control guidelines. The caregiver is expected to collaborate with the care team, respect client privacy, and support a calm, stable environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in elderly care, home care, assisted living, or a similar caregiving role is preferred but not required. We will provide training.
- Knowledge of basic caregiving practices, including safe transfer techniques, personal hygiene assistance, and fall prevention.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to follow care plans, observe and report changes in client condition, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Demonstrated reliability, patience, empathy, and a calm approach in challenging situations.
- Physical ability to assist with lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant caregiver, CNA, or first aid/CPR certification is preferred.
- Ability to pass required background checks and comply with all applicable health and safety regulations.
