Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Server role based in Strongsville, OH at Vitalia Strongsville. The Server will provide attentive, friendly dining service to residents and guests, including taking orders, serving meals and beverages, and ensuring dietary needs and preferences are followed. This role is responsible for maintaining clean and organized dining areas, resetting tables, and supporting meal preparation and service coordination with the culinary team. The Server will assist residents with seating, respond promptly to requests, and communicate any concerns or special needs to appropriate team members. The position also includes following all safety, sanitation, and infection-control guidelines while contributing to a positive, respectful, and resident-centered dining experience.
Qualifications
- Experience with table service, order-taking, and carrying trays or multiple plates in a dining or hospitality setting.
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills with a courteous, resident-focused approach.
- Ability to follow instructions, work in a team, and coordinate with kitchen and care staff in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and willingness to follow community health and safety standards.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, walk frequently, and lift or carry moderate weights as required for service tasks.
- Previous experience in senior living, healthcare dining, or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; training will be provided for candidates eager to learn and grow in the role.
