Our client is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to lead complex client engagements, strengthen client relationships, develop new business, and contribute to the continued growth of its New Jersey practice.
This is a leadership-track position for an experienced public accounting tax professional who combines strong technical expertise with client management, business development, and team-leadership capabilities.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Partner and firm leadership while supervising and developing managers, seniors, and staff. The position offers a direct path to Partner within a growing national accounting platform, along with the opportunity to participate in long-term incentives tied to future firm growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and review complex business, partnership, and individual tax engagements.
Complete tax engagements accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with federal and state requirements.
Requirements.
- Provide strategic tax-planning and structuring advice to closely held businesses, partnerships, and high-net-worth clients.
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with existing clients.
- Identify additional advisory and tax-service opportunities within the existing client base.
- Develop new business through professional networking, community involvement, referrals, and prospective-client relationships.
- Supervise, train, and mentor tax managers, seniors, and staff.
- Support the technical and leadership development of the firm’s emerging professionals.
- Work with firm leadership to execute regional growth plans and improve practice profitability.
- Support clients with transactions, entity restructuring, and multistate tax compliance.
- Contribute to process improvements, technology implementation, and firm best practices.
- Collaborate with professionals across the Accounting First Group network.
Support multi-location clients and contribute to national platform initiatives.
