POSITION SUMMARY
The Intake Investigator is responsible for handling patient reports, overseeing patient rehabilitation, and collaborating with other individuals and agencies to accommodate patient supervision and success. The Intake Investigator ensures supportive counseling, answering, and following up on patient questions and problems, and making recommendations to the appropriate department. The Intake Investigator assists in major dynamic programs and coordinating major or specialized programs for the patient’s rehabilitation, such as work assignments, work release, education, or recreation; as well as transition planning and coordinating.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must hold a bachelor’s degree, preferably in behavioral or social sciences or in criminal justice.
Must have a satisfactory background investigation report.
Must be fluent in English language, including reading, writing, speaking, and understanding.
Must be a supportive team member, who contributes to and demonstrates teamwork and team concept.
Able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Able to deal tactfully with personnel, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
Possess leadership and supervisory ability and be able to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace
