VitalCheck Wellness is looking for an experienced Human Resources Director to ensure that all human resources (HR) operations are carried on smoothly and effectively. You will be responsible for developing HR strategies and providing sound advice to senior management on all related subjects.
The HR Director must be an experienced professional with deep knowledge of all matters concerning HR departments. You should be able to manage programs and lead staff while also possessing a strong strategic mindset. You will have a strong background in compliance and regulations with multi state and international experience. The goal is to ensure that all HR needs of the company are being met and are aligned with all business objectives.

VitalCheck Wellness is looking for an experienced Human Resources Director to ensure that all human resources (HR) operations are carried on smoothly and effectively. You will be responsible for developing HR strategies and providing sound advice to senior management on all related subjects.
The HR Director must be an experienced professional with deep knowledge of all matters concerning HR departments. You should be able to manage programs and lead staff while also possessing a strong strategic mindset. You will have a strong background in compliance and regulations with multi state and international experience. The goal is to ensure that all HR needs of the company are being met and are aligned with all business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the company is in compliance with local, state and international regulations.
- Connect with and provide direct support to department heads for HR needs.
- Act to support the human factor in the company by devising strategies for performance evaluation, staffing, training and development etc.
- Oversee all HR initiatives, systems and tactics.
- Lead the HR team by examples and providing guidance.
- Ensure timely filing of documents and transition between active/terminated files, perform necessary audits, and follow appropriate process and guidelines for record retention and elimination.
- Serve as the point of contact for employment relations and regulatory agencies.
- Monitor adherence to internal policies and legal standards.
- Manage and report key HR metrics.
- Deal with grievances and violations invoking disciplinary action when required
- Continuously improve HR operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
- PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP preferred.
- 10 - 12 years of progressive HR experience. At least 3 years of experience as HR Director.
- In depth understanding of HR laws, regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience with multi sites HR operations.
- Multi-state experience strongly preferred. International experience a bonus.
- Experience within healthcare, healthcare tech, medical centers, or hospital systems strongly preferred.
- Highly organized, efficient, able to prioritize and meet tight deadlines.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- High level of professionalism and ability to collaborate with all levels within the HR team and the organization.
- Highly proactive, self-motivated, and able to take initiative.
- Proficient in computer and Microsoft office
- Must be located in NYC metro area and able to reliably commute to midtown office regularly.
