PRN Mental Health Therapist

Job Description for: Mental Health Therapist (LSW, LCSW, LPC, LPCC, LMFT) – PRN

VitalCare Counseling offers a unique approach to therapy, welcoming all ages and stages from birth to end of life. Our therapists customize therapy strategies and techniques to align with the unique circumstance and goals of each client. VitalCare is looking for a therapist who has experience working with couples, children and/or families.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Therapists shall meet some or all the criteria below, as discussed with the hiring therapist:

· Offer psychotherapy to children, couples and/or families.

· Lead or Co-Lead therapy groups

· Offer in-office (Westminster) and virtual sessions

· Attend all required agency trainings and clinical meetings scheduled by VitalCare (approximately 1-2 hours per week for counseling specific meetings and trainings plus an additional 15-20 hours per year for annual agency trainings)

• Seek clinical consultation with team members and supervisor on a routinely scheduled basis (approximately 1-2 hours per week)
• Therapy hours must allow for at least two evenings (4- 7 or 8pm) to be scheduled for clients needing after-school/after-work options. These timeslots tend to fill most quickly for therapists.
• Contact referrals to offer introduction, finalize intake paperwork, establish, and maintain client/therapist schedules
• Complete documentation, assessments, progress notes and referrals for clients within required agency timelines
• Use VitalCare designated software and technology including video platform, documentation in EHR system, Microsoft Outlook e mail and calendar, scheduling applications and Teams functions

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Excellent communication skills with co-workers and clients

· Exceptional organizational and time management skills

· Skilled ability to problem-solve with knowledge of when and how to ask for help

· Knowledge of Colorado area agencies and resources or ability to discover as needed

· Strong working knowledge of validated trauma treatment methods

· Experience working with children and/or families

· Holds appropriate Colorado licensure and related credentials and remains in good standing

REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL VITALCARE EMPLOYEES:

· Current TB screening upon hire and annual TB Risk Assessment thereafter

· Influenza vaccination upon hire if hired between October and May, and annually thereafter

· Possession of a valid state driver's license with reliable transportation and applicable car insurance

· Drug test and background check

COMPENSATION:

$45-60 per client/clinical hour. Pay is dependent on experience and credentials. VitalCare compensates for administrative time at $25 per hour for required trainings, meetings, 1 cancellation per week, 1 hour for notes per week and other pre-approved circumstances. VitalCare offers both PRN and Guaranteed Hour compensation models. Therapists are eligible for Guaranteed Hours following 4 payroll periods meeting minimum clinical requirements.
