What are the responsibilities and job description for the MAVO (Mobility Assistance Vehicle Operator) position at VitalCare Medical Transport?
Responsiblities
- The MAVO driver is responsible for safely transporting ambulatory/wheelchair-bound patients, via wheelchair van, to and from medical appointments.
- Safely load, secure and unload wheelchair-bound patients using safety equipment at all times
- Assist patients as necessary and when appropriate
- Provide clear communication with dispatch
- Perform all procedures in accordance with MAVO certification and company policy/procedures
- Perform all duties with the utmost professionalism, reliability and integrity
Qualifications
- CPR Certificate
- MAVO Certificate
- Defensive Driving Certificate by National Safety Council
- Valid Drivers License in NJ
Required Work Experience
- 2 years driving experience
- 1 year MAVO experience
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
Language Skills
- Ability to read, write and interpret using basic English language. Ability to understand and follow simple directions as related to job description
We offer both full time and part time flexible positions Monday through Saturday
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
