Associate Veterinarian

Vital Vet Animal Hospital is an independently owned, AAHA-accredited and Fear Free Certified practice in Chesapeake, VA built by veterinary professionals who wanted a better way to practice medicine.

We’re looking for an Associate Veterinarian who values collaborative medicine, strong technician utilization, and a hospital culture designed to support sustainable careers vs. burnout.

What We’re Looking For

• DVM or VMD licensed in Virginia (or eligible for licensure)

• Interest in practicing high-quality general medicine and surgery

• Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence

• Appreciation for collaborative teamwork and technician utilization

• Interest in exotics medicine is a plus

• Someone who values curiosity, adaptability, and continuous learning

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $120-150k depending on schedule, pay structure preference, and experience

• ProSal or straight salary options available

• CE allowance
