Vital Theatre Company is seeking professional non-union actors over the age of 18 for roles in their 2026-27 season in New York City. Musicals may include Penguin Goes To Flight School The Musical, Kid Frankenstein The Musical, Twinkle The Musical (By Katharine Holbird, author of Angelina Ballerina), and Vital's one-hour The Wizard of Oz, among other family shows. Actors are required to sing and dance and must be comfortable engaging with the audience in meet-and-greets. All actors are also signed as assistant stage managers and will be required to assist with set up and strike for all performances.
SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS
Please submit the following to [email protected] with the subject line: “Actor Submission - 2026-27 Season - NAME” by August 25, 2026. All videos should be uploaded to Youtube, Dropbox, Googlr Drive, etc. and linked so they can be viewed without downloading.
1. Slate: Include your name, height, location, and union status. Please confirm availability for in-person callbacks in early September.
2. Comedic monologue approximately one minute long
3. 16-bar uptempo musical theatre song
4. Dance/movement reel
5. Headshot
6. Resume
Selected actors will be invited to an in-person callback in New York City in early September 2026.
