The Role:
As an Infusion Nurse with Vital Infusions PLLC, you will play a crucial role in administering IV infusions, educating patients about their treatments, and ensuring a comfortable and safe therapy experience. This position requires a high level of professionalism, clinical expertise, and the ability to provide compassionate care to patients in various settings.
Responsibilities:
- Administer IV infusions as prescribed, ensuring the highest safety and comfort for patients.
- Assess patient health status, including vital signs and symptom management, before and during the infusion process.
- Educate patients and their families about the infusion process, medication, and self-care techniques.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Stay current with best practices in infusion therapy and participate in professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Current RN license in CT and NY.
- Current BLS (ACLS and/or PALS)
- Minimum of 2 years of direct infusion experience with a strong understanding of infusion therapies, including IVIG, ERT, biologics, antibiotics, and vitamins.
- Minimum of 2 years experience with peripheral IV access.
- Experience with port access or willingness to learn.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Current CPR certification.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patient locations.
