What are the responsibilities and job description for the MULTI-MODALITY TECHNOLOGIST position at VITAL IMAGING DIAGNOSTIC CENTERS LLC?
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBIITIES:
Operates equipment to conduct studies by positioning patients for optimum scan efficiency.
As required during a procedure, assists positioning patients in required anatomical position for display of body for scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
Evaluate scans for technical quality, collate processed images in sequence of exposure and appropriately label.
Moves equipment into specified positions and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors.
Explains procedures to patients and addresses their concerns.
Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff.
Provides a safe environment for administering contrast material and follows protocol for correct contrast use and storage.
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
Film/transmit to PACS.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:
Must possess a valid State of Florida License.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required . (American heart Association)
Registered Technologist in Vascular-Interventional Radiography ARRT (VI) Required Or
Registered Technologist in Mammography ARRT (M) Required Or
Registered Technologist in Radiography ARRT (R) Required.
Registered Technologist in Computer Tomography ARRT (CT) Required Or
Licensed Radiologic Technologist Required.
Licensed Medical Imaging Technologist Required.
