What are the responsibilities and job description for the Healthcare Payroll position at Vital Heart and Vein?
This is a fully on-site position. Vital Heart and Vein is the fastest growing independent cardiology practice in Houston, located near George Bush International Airport. This position is primarily responsible processing payroll for 300 employees, with light bookkeeping duties. The ideal candidate has advanced excel skills, time management and analytical skills, and excellent verbal and written communication. Must be able to manage competing responsibilities using multiple software systems.
RESPONSIBILITES:
Responsible for payroll processing for all employees of the practice. Must have an in depth understanding of how Prism and Timeco work.
Requires a high level to detail and ability to review line items methodology.
Runs open enrollment in the fall, ensuring roll out of benefits, assists employees with enrolling, etc.
Onboards new hires, including running background checks, setting them up in the system, etc.
Records recurring journal entries in QuickBooks Desktop, under the direction of the CFO.
Create ad hoc reports in various systems.
Uses critical thinking skills to identify relevant data and escalate findings.
Is organized, multi-tasks and meets all deadlines.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Reports to the CFO.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Associates Degree
Minimum 3-years work experience in payroll and some bookkeeping experience.
Healthcare experience preferred.
Experience using Prism or Timeco preferred.
Demonstratable excel skills.
