What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recovery Housing Technician position at Vital Health?
The Recovery Housing Technician supports program participants by helping maintain a safe, structured, and supportive recovery housing environment. This role focuses on resident safety, wellness, accountability, and day-to-day support. Experience in substance use recovery is a plus, but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor resident safety, behavior, and overall well-being
- Conduct daily property and safety checks
- Orient new residents to house rules, expectations, and policies
- Complete daily resident check-ins and weekly meetings as needed
- Monitor for contraband and ensure a clean, substance-free environment
- Document incidents and concerns within required timeframes
- Support residents with grievances and recovery planning
- Provide transportation for new intakes and as directed
- Communicate concerns to leadership and assist with emergencies

- Maintain professionalism, boundaries, empathy, and consistency
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience in recovery housing, behavioral health, or residential settings preferred

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
