Position Summary
Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming inquiries and support the pre-admission process for patients seeking healthcare services. This role focuses on telephone-based intake, initial screenings, and accurate data entry into the organization’s CRM system.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally, providing information about services, facilities, and the admissions process.
- Conduct pre-admission screenings by gathering essential patient information (demographics, insurance details, medical history basics, reason for seeking care) over the phone.
- Assess caller needs, determine preliminary eligibility for services, and collect required information for potential admission.
- Accurately enter and update all collected information into the CRM system in real-time, ensuring data completeness and compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
- Document all interactions and follow up on inquiries as needed.
- Route appropriate calls or escalate complex cases to clinical staff or supervisors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in customer service, call center, or healthcare administrative role preferred.
- Strong phone communication skills with ability to handle sensitive conversations empathetically.
- Basic computer proficiency and typing skills (comfortable with data entry).
- Familiarity with CRM software or electronic health record systems is a plus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to healthcare privacy standards.
