Position Summary:
Coastal Health is seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our primary care team. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for patients while ensuring efficient front office operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients in a professional and courteous manner
- Verify patient information, insurance, and demographics
- Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars
- Answer and direct phone calls
- Collect copays and outstanding balances
- Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical system
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Handle general administrative and front office duties
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous medical office or front desk experience preferred
- Knowledge of insurance verification and patient registration processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
- Proficiency with computers and electronic health records (EHR) systems
