Vital Fuel Systems, Inc. is growing, and we're hiring a Controls Electrician to join our team! Our work supports some of the largest technology clients in the world and delivers mission-critical fuel systems that keep essential facilities operating.

This role is ideal for someone with experience working with low-voltage electrical systems, bending conduit, pulling wire, making terminations installing supports and leading a crew in industrial or mission-critical new construction environments.

Travel: Approximately 25-95% travel, varying based on project needs.

What You'll Do
Electrical (Low Voltage / Controls)

  • Install low-voltage electrical systems and components such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), automation systems, and related controls.
  • Bend conduit, pull wire, use Mobile Elevated Work Platform, run mini-excavator, skid steers and forklifts, make fiber terminations.
  • Assist pipe fitters and welders as needed.
  • Follow electrical codes and regulations to ensure safe, compliant installations.
  • Use PPE and follow established safety practices to mitigate risks and hazards.
  • Ensure systems are properly grounded, insulated, and tested for compliance.
  • Document all installations, repairs, inspections, and testing activities accurately.
  • Review control drawings, sequences of operation, and system documentation to ensure proper functionality.

What You Bring

  • 3 years of experience installing, commercial electrical systems, automation systems, generators, fuel systems, or related equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control drawings, P&IDs, and equipment manuals.
  • Experience working in industrial, power generation, fuel systems, mission-critical, manufacturing, utility, or commercial construction environments preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with project managers, technicians, subcontractors, and customers.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Fluent in English, including speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Must pass background checks, drug screens, and motor vehicle screenings.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain secure-site access.
  • Valid Real ID driver's license with an acceptable driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Willing to travel approximately 25-95% based on project needs.
  • Willing to complete required certifications, safety training, and continuing education.
  • Committed to maintaining technical expertise and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
