Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses based on their prescription and personal preferences.
- Take accurate measurements of customers' eyes and facial features to ensure proper fit of eyewear.
- Educate customers on lens options, coatings, and other enhancements to improve vision and meet their specific needs.
- Adjust and repair eyewear as needed, including frame adjustments, lens replacements, and minor repairs.
- Maintain inventory of eyewear, contact lenses, and accessories, ensuring availability of popular styles and brands.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in eyewear fashion and technology to provide informed recommendations to customers.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as an optician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of eyewear products, lens options, and optical terminology.
- Familiarity with vision insurance plans and billing procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using computer systems for inventory management and sales transactions.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
