Overview
- A trained paraprofessional who provides personal care and basic health-related services to patients in their homes to support daily living and promote independence.
Common duties:
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, mobility
- Help with meal preparation and feeding
- Assist with medication reminders (not administering unless licensed/authorized)
- Monitor and report changes in consumer (vitals, behavior, symptoms)
- Light housekeeping
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Follow care plans developed by nurses or therapists
Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Government-issued photo ID or driver’s license
- Level 2 background
- CPR certification
- Reliable transportation
Pay: Up to $16.00 per hour
