Our pharmacists, nurses, and specialists work closely with physicians and patients to deliver the highest standards of infusion therapy—both at home and in our state-of-the-art infusion suite.
Position Summary
The Account Executive is responsible for developing and maintaining strong referral relationships with physicians, hospitals, and clinics to grow Vital Care’s infusion and specialty pharmacy business.
This is a field-based position focused on marketing directly to physician offices and hospitals within your assigned territory. The ideal candidate is motivated, goal-oriented, and experienced in healthcare or pharmaceutical sales.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual referral goals.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with physicians, nurse practitioners, case managers, and hospital staff.
- Conduct impactful presentations to promote Vital Care’s infusion and specialty pharmacy services.
- Partner with the pharmacy, nursing, and reimbursement teams to ensure seamless patient onboarding and support.
- Track and manage referral activity and performance using CRM tools.
- Stay informed about market trends, payer policies, and competitor activities.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 2–3 years of successful healthcare or physician office-based sales experience, OR
- 5 years of experience in medical or specialty pharmaceutical sales with a proven track record of growth and relationship-building
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in CRM tools and territory management
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred:
- Experience in home infusion, specialty pharmacy, or biologic/IV therapy sales
- Knowledge of reimbursement processes, managed care, and chronic therapy markets (e.g., IVIG, anti-infectives, biologics, etc.)
- Established relationships in specialties such as Neurology, Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, Pulmonology, or Infectious Disease
Technical & Reporting Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Trella, or similar)
- Ability to generate and interpret basic sales and activity reports to monitor progress
