Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain proper inventory levels of pharmaceuticals and supplies, ensuring all medications are stored correctly.
- Process prescription orders, including verifying patient information and medication details.
- Provide excellent patient service by answering questions regarding medications and health-related inquiries.
- Utilize aseptic technique for IV infusion preparation as required for acute care settings.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes through effective medication management.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with health regulations and safety standards.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred, particularly in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and pharmacy operations is essential.
- Knowledge of medication administration processes, including inhalation therapies and IV infusion techniques, is highly desirable.
