Certified Medical Assistant

Vitae Clinic is a unique medical practice that provides women with state-of-the-art care throughout their reproductive years and beyond. As part of the St John Paul II Life Center, we are committed to serving women’s healthcare needs in a sensitive, considerate, confidential, and faith-filled environment. We are looking for a full-time Certified Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities and Duties

Duties Include:

· Record all information required for the patients’ medical record such as vital signs, symptoms, and conditions in the chart.

· Provide patient care such as vaccines, administering medications, rooming the patient.

· Assist physicians during exams and office procedures.

· Review medical records for outstanding lab work.

· Assist R.N with telephone calls for lab results & posting results in the patient portal.

· Assist with exam room clean up and set up, and updating temperature logs.

· Sterilize medical instruments, operate centrifuge.

·· Perform CLIA waived testing of urine

· Assist with folding, and storing linens

· Inventory and stock exam rooms.

· Counsel and educate patients, when necessary.

· Responsible for opening and closing exam rooms.

Qualifications and Skills

· Must have Current Medical Assistant Certificate and 2-3 years Medical Assistant experience in a medical office

· Spanish speaking a plus but not required.

· Be Able to Communicate Effectively and professionally.

· Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills

· EMR Experience, Athena Health preferred

· CPR Certified

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.32 - $21.31 per hour
