Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive International Shipping & Logistics Coordinator to support our global operations. This role will be based in Orlando and will work closely with the Logistics Manager in Montreal. The position is responsible for coordinating international shipments, ensuring compliance with import/export regulations, and optimizing freight costs while ensuring timely delivery to assembly locations and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate international shipments (air, ocean, and ground) from origin to final destination
- Prepare and manage all import/export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading
- Ensure full customs compliance with U.S. and international regulations, working closely with brokers and regulatory agencies
- Track shipments and proactively resolve delays, discrepancies, or customs issues
- Coordinate the delivery of systems and components to assembly sites and end customers
- Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, production, sales) to align shipping schedules with business needs
- Monitor and analyze freight costs; identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements
- Maintain accurate shipping records and ensure data integrity in logistics systems
- Communicate regularly with the Montreal-based Logistics Manager and provide status updates
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics and inventory function
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3 years of experience in international shipping, logistics, or supply chain coordination
- Strong knowledge of U.S. import/export regulations and customs procedures
- Experience working with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers
- Proficiency in ERP systems and shipping/logistics software
- Experience with freight cost analysis and vendor negotiation
- Familiarity with Incoterms and global trade compliance standards
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills (English required; Spanish is a plus with the Americas)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
