What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator position at Vita Organica Supplements?
Pay: $15.00 per hour Schedule: Monday to Thursday, AM shift, 10-hour days — 40 hours a week Start date: Early October 2026
About us
Vita Organica Supplements is a new dietary supplement manufacturing plant in Bogalusa. We make honey sachets, twist-off sachets, honey spoons and powder blends for brands across the country. We're opening this fall and hiring our first production crew, so the people we bring on now will learn the equipment as it comes online and help set how this plant runs.
What you'd do
You'd be cross-trained one our production lines — honey sachet, honey twist-off sachet, honey spoon or powder. Day to day that means:
- Set up, run and shut down your line
- Check fill weight, seal and appearance at set points, and log compliance documentation
- Clear the line before each product changeover
- Make minor adjustments; call the mechanic for anything bigger
- Stop the line when something looks wrong
- Clean your area and work to the procedure for your machine
What we're looking for
- A year or more of hands-on work in manufacturing operating machinery
- Reliable attendance record
- On your feet a full shift, lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Read written instructions and record numbers accurately
- High school diploma or GED preferred
What we offer
- Paid training on the equipment and our procedures
- First crew in a brand-new plant, with room to grow
