Role Description The Receiving Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Chicago, IL. This position is responsible for accurately receiving incoming shipments, verifying quantities and product condition, and ensuring proper documentation and data entry into inventory systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include unloading trucks, using material handling equipment to move products, organizing and labeling received goods, and coordinating with warehouse and production teams to maintain efficient workflow. The role also involves inspecting shipments for damage or discrepancies, following food safety and company quality standards, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. Qualifications
- Strong skills in Shipping & Receiving and Inventory Control to manage incoming goods and stock accuracy.
- Ability to safely operate Pallet Jack and Forklift equipment, with applicable certifications preferred.
- Effective Communication skills to coordinate with warehouse, production, and logistics team members.
- Attention to detail, basic computer and data entry skills, and ability to follow written procedures and safety guidelines.
- Experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or food production environment is beneficial.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
