Visual Soft, Inc is seeking qualified candidates (US Citizens with active ACTIVE TOP SECRET clearance - a requirement on its sub contract with work share on a Project with a Major Prime) for the following position for a federal agency.
Title: Database Administrator - Mid Level - Active TS required

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Clearance - must have an Active TOP SECRET clearance and undergo background investigation and a drug test
* Citizenship - Must be a US Citizen
Our standard benefits include: Our standard benefits include 3 weeks of Paid time off (PTO that includes sick leave). Any unused PTO will be issued as a check at the end of an employee's anniversary with us. we also provide 2 floating and 8 public holidays. Floating and holidays expire at the end of every year of service of an employee. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Evaluate and recommends available database management system products to support validated user requirements
- Define file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures for specific user\applications
- Maintain Oracle systems on a Linux operating system and (also desired MS SQL databases admin experience) on day-to-day basis
- Shall be responsible for backup and recovery operations for servers
- Perform quality control of ingest and transform processes and products produced
- Perform rudimentary Linux systems administrative functions
- Responsible for entity relational diagrams and documentation of Oracle configuration
- Over all 5-6 years of information technology experience
- 4 years of Oracle database administration experience
- 3 years of Linux administration experience
- Multiple Information Technology certifications
- Knowledge of Government-wide system design, information technology equipment and services
- BS degree at minimum, experience can be substituted in some cases in lieu of BS degree at the discretion of the government
