What We're Looking For:
We are seeking a Front Desk Receptionist with excellent customer service skills and the ability to use technology efficiently. We need someone who thrives in a fast-paced office, has strong typing skills, and wants to grow within our practice. The right candidate must be able to manage their time efficiently to ensure manage patient-flow effectively, ensuring that tasks are completed on time without constant direction. Whether you're an experienced professional or someone eager to learn, we are willing to train the right person, but computer proficiency and independent time management are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
As our Front Desk Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office. Your responsibilities will include:
- Computer & Software Proficiency: Perform tasks including data entry, document scanning, maintaining digital records, and using office software.
- Professional appearance and communication skills – as you will be the first point of contact for patients, it's important to present a friendly and polished demeanor.
- Customer Service Excellence: Ensure all patients have a positive experience and assist with selecting products like eyewear and contact lenses.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with our team to ensure a smooth workflow and that patients' needs are met.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to manage patient flow, schedules, and communications efficiently.
- Attention to detail and the ability to problem-solve effectively.
- Previous front desk or receptionist experience is helpful but not required.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance terminology or optometric experience are a plus, but not mandatory.
Ideal Candidate:

- Excellent Computer Skills: Must have proficient keyboarding skills—no "hunt-and-peck" typing. Being able to type accurately and quickly is essential for this role.

- Organization & Multitasking: Ability to juggle multiple tasks at once while maintaining a calm and organized workspace.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to think on your feet and resolve challenges effectively while keeping a professional demeanor.
- Professionalism: As the first face patients see, you'll need to maintain a polished, friendly, and approachable demeanor at all times.
- Customer Service: A passion for helping people and a genuine interest in delivering a great patient experience.
- Prior Experience: Previous experience in a front desk or customer service role is a plus, especially in a healthcare or medical office, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Schedule:
- Full-time position: Monday to Friday (8-hour shifts).
- No evenings or weekends—giving you more time for your personal life.
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $ $22.00 per hour, depending on experience.
